Yes. We can match historic or custom profiles exactly by using profile gauges, precision milling, and premium materials. This is especially valuable in heritage restorations or when expanding existing spaces.

MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard)

Pros: Smooth surface for painting, no wood grain, cost-effective, and readily available in consistent profiles.
Cons: Not as impact-resistant as wood, can swell if exposed to moisture, and not suitable for high-humidity or wet areas.

Poplar

Pros: Durable, lightweight, resists warping, and takes paint beautifully. Can also be stained for a natural wood look. Better for high-traffic areas where trim may take more abuse.
Cons: Higher cost compared to MDF.

Our Recommendation:

For painted finishes in dry, interior spaces: MDF is a great budget-friendly choice.
For durability, longevity, or where moisture is a concern: Poplar is the better investment.
On high-end projects or for heritage restorations, Poplar’s natural durability and versatility make it the preferred choice.
